ECET2 NC will focus on supporting school, district and state Teachers of the Year (TOYs) in identifying how their honing and sharing "Teacher Superpowers" can improve student outcomes. We know there are thousands of Effective Teachers across NC, and our goal with ECET2 is to help develop a stronger network both amongst existing TOYs and between other excellent teachers.
ECET2 NC will recruit applications of diverse teams of educators who seek to engage in action research on which “Teacher Superpowers” lead to improved student outcomes. 200 of the top educators from across the state will be selected from applicants to attend the 2-day event to design their single action research project. Universities from across NC will support the teams in conducting action research and then ECET2 NC teams will host mini-convening back at their school or district to share the results of their combined "Teacher SuperPower" action research. By combining their work, teachers will form meaningful and long-lasting networks.
